Prices and booking information 2009 Kurmi will sleep up to 10 people as follows: Two bedrooms each with twin beds One bedroom with double bed Two double sofa beds in the sitting room. NB it is necessary to go through one of the bedrooms in order to get to the sitting room or from the sitting room to any other part of the house. The main bedroom opens off the kitchen and will eventually have its own bathroom. The house is equipped with electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge freezer and washing machine. There is one bathroom with bath/shower and basin and a separate toilet. Bedding and towels are provided and there is a full range of kitchen equipment and crockery etc. Firewood is provided in winter. Shopping is available in the village centre, 5km away by road, where there are 4 shops and it is possible to get most daily needs. There is a post office there. A mobile shop also sometimes comes to the house. There is also a supermarket in the next villlage, Taurene, where there is also a petrol station and a bank cash machine. Cesis, half an hour's drive away has all the shops needed - food, clothes, electrical goods, hardware, petrol stations, a "hypermarket", post office, banks, cafes and restaurants, bus and railway stations etc. The manager, Agris Veipans, speaks English and German and is available to help. He lives in the village centre. He will sort out problems and provide bedding and towels. He can also get provisions ready for guests' arrival.There is a telephone on the premises for emergencies, though mobile phone reception is also good. The house is available for weekly lets, Saturday 4.00pm to Saturday 12.00am. Prices are as follows for the period Easter to September: £200/ 250 per week for 1 to 2 people (adults and children over 5) including linen, water and electricity. £350/ 440 per week for 3-6 people £500/630 per week for 7-10 people For shorter periods and rental in off peak times special deals can be arranged. The sauna can be booked separately at 10lats a session to cover the costs ofsetting it up. Speak to Agris about organising one.
